Floyd was fast Buchannon was as fast. Foreman was stronger than Ali yet Ali beat him.

If a fight was determind on just power or speed then boxing would be very boring.

Duran at 135 was an animal and regarded as the greatest at LW ever.

This from a guy saying Floyd could beat Robinson at 147.

Honestly MODS why is he still here?

If Floyd is quicker it isn't by much. And if Ray fought the wrong fight, whats to say Floyd wouldn't? You still haven't answered my question on who Floyd has fought that makes you think he could beat Duran, let alone the Robinson questions I asked. This makes you look like a nuthugger instead of an objective poster.

He can't tell you why. He just said Floyd is faster than Leonard at 135, which is irrelevant to Leonard fighting him at 147. He can not put up a good argument.

            How does Mayweather beat Hearns?

It's the absolute worst match-up for Floyd that I can think of at 147 lbs and that includes Robinson, Leonard, Griffith, Gavilan and all the other middleweight greats.

How does he beat them? We can guage their abilities against great fighter because they fought great fighters throughout long careers. Floyd hasn't. so how do you come to the conclussion Floyd would beat either of them?

In my opinion, that long hard jab and strong relentless punching of Hearns is the only 1 I would be surprised if Floyd beat. I cold see Floyd beating Whitaker, SRL, Duran, Pryor, and all the other greats of the last era around 147 lbs, but hearns I see him losing too if they were to fight.

What do yall think abot the Hitman Hearns?
If they fought in the same time frame, they would never fight. Hearns is to big. But say just for kicks that somehow the fight got organized and of course the only realistic weight would be 147. Hearns would KO him. Hearns would be a far more dangerous opponent to Mayweather than Williams was and Mayweather didn't even want to fight Williams.

Sorry, but Hearns isn't Corrales. If Tommy could outbox Leonard for most of their first and second fights, he could do it to the smaller, less powerful mayweather.

Larry have you seen Hearns box instead of just knocking guys out? He could box very well, and had a very good long jab. Floyd would get hit, but I do give him a chance at beating Hearns.
