Not at 147 he wasn't. His punch output at that weight had become severly diminished and he had a propensity to sit on the ropes. Tommy is to big, to fast and hits to hard to employ that type of strategy. On top of that he has experience against all time great fighters where as Floyd does not. If a past it DLH could hang close with Floyd a prime Hearns would lump him up.
the only past great to beat Floyd would be?

Hey Larry is there anyone you dont think Floyd would beat? maybe that is a better yard stick for you, because you dont seem to be able to separate biased from commonsense that last couple of days.
Im all for the idea that old fighters are not always the best fghters and you dont have to fight in black and white to be a great fighter, but come on.
The last two days you have said Floyd would box circles around Duran and beat Whitaker badly and embarrass Hearns. I always thought you were an unbiased Floyd fan, but the last few days you have shown what true fanboy you are.Comment

If you consider longevity I guess you can make a case.
I will simply tell you why I think he is not. Because
1) Tommy is not a complete fighter,
2) he is not a smart fighter and
3) he is chinny.
All of these combined separate him from all time elites IMO because these leave him without a plan B.Comment
