I can't stand the ****HEADS on this site any longer, you guys are complete and utter ******s, and so so predictable. I might have to go over to ESB.Do you not know who Esteban de Jesus is? Great Great fighter no shame in losing to him.
Castro, Lawlor, Gonzalez and Simms were all at 160 and above Duran's best weight was 135. In the Lawlor fight if you actualyl watched it Duran injures his shoulder and is no longer able to continue in the rematch in 3rd fight BEFORE retirement he took Lawlor to school. He beat Castro in the rematch.
Lets look at the other losses on his record shall we of those 16 losses 11 of them were at 160 and above and on eof them was to Hagler. Thats like say Juan Diaz moving up to fight Pavlik or Abraham. Below 160 his losses were to Benitez, Hearns, Esteban De Jesus, Laing and Hearns 3 of the 4 are Hall of Famers. Laing was a freak accident I don't know what happened there.
Did I say they wern't good fighters? Did Duran say todays fighters haven't fought good fighters? We are talking about NAMES, Names (e.g. stars). These fighters are NOT household names. Get it!
How are they names then? I bet more people know Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Jose Luis Castillo than them two.Comment

A lot of the older fighters have said similar to what Duran spoke about.
I remember Sugar Ray talking about how today's fighters are without a doubt highly skilled, but haven't fought the type of fights that made guys like him, Duran, Hagler, and Hearns legends and how they choose not to be tested.
It is what it is...Comment

And another thing, It doesn't matter WHAT weight the fights were at. DURAN chose to go to those weights, so he sould live with the consequences.
It's like saying right Mayweather, you can move up to 168 and fight Pat Lawlor, but don't worry, we woun't count it against you if you lose, so go on HAVE A ****ING BALL.Comment

what a ****ing joke a slappy fan trying to bad mouth Duran. Realise Duran made his bones before Slappy was born as well as after. Calzaghe will never mentioned in the same breath as Duran so enjoy thatWhat an arsewipe, ****ing loves himself.
"Fighters these days fight against no names" Says the guy that LOST to Omar Eduardo Gonzalez, Jorge Fernando Castro, Pat Lawlor, Robbie Sims, Kirkland Laing and Esteban De Jesus.
****ing go buy some more mirrors Duran, looks like you can't get enough of them.Comment
