Roberto Duran interview about Mayweather!!!

Thats a load of crap... Thats like saying winning a world title in 10 years time is worthless.
Every fighter says that their era had the best fighters, but winning world titles in different weight classes is the same acheivement as it had been back in the 80's.Comment

You are moron! He fought 10 time better competition that Mayweather did!
He didnt quit boxing when real competition finally came as Margarito,Berto,Mosley,Williams!Comment

Would Mayweather be considered a ATG if he had a 1-4 record against them??
Mosley said no to Floyd at 147 and Cotto said no to Floyd at 140.Last edited by Sugar May Floyd; 02-03-2009, 10:29 AM.Comment

holy **** when didn Berto became into the p4p mix.
I think I didnt see boxing quiet long time ago. I think Cosmo Rivera or Santos would give Berto more than he could ever handle.
sorry those guy are way of the p4p list only Mosely could be the one which he didnt fight mayweather at the time.
But Duran is a good fighter. People forgot how he lowblowed the LW champion before being crowned. But ooh well he alway a fight and alway been a fight not a boxerComment

No it's not because back then there were only 2 world titles (WBC&WBA) which were often unified anyway (so only 1 champion per division), now we have 4 world titles that are usually separate (count in regular, interim, super champions and we have many more).
How much credit would JuanMa Lopez get if he were to go up to the FW division, beat Cristobal Cruz for the IBF title, move up to the SFW division and beat Nicky Cook for the WBO title, then move up to the LW division and beat Paulus Moses for the "regular" WBA title?
Does this mean his achievement of winning 4 titles in 4 weight classes is equal to Duran's? No it wouldn't because of the opposition he beat to win those titles.Comment
