Dude, a prime Pernell pretty much couldn't be hit. You say he was only 33 like he wasn't past his prime. He was miles past it and still gave a younger, hungrier and bigger bull in Oscar all he could handle and some actually had him winning that fight (not myself).

A prime on prime matchup between Pernell and Floyd at 135 say really wouldn't be close. I maintain that Pernell in his prime beats any 135 pounder I have ever seen in the ring, and that certainly includes Floyd.

Floyd is too inactive, he throws very little punches in a round unless he thinks he has his opponent hurt. I mean Hatton is so one dimensional it took him ages to get him out of there and he kept giving up rounds by not throwing.

It's hard to score rounds for people who don't punch.

Obviously that is the general opinion, I just disagree that's all. I am all over Pernell's nuts though and I will admit Duran isn't exactly my favourite guy, so I won't rule bias out.

Yea 147 Floyd that is. And u seen wat happened when Floyd let his hands go rite? I do think Pernell wins at 147 but below that things can get interesting.

Yeah, I won't accept that this is even close to a pick'em fight. A prime Whitaker has Floyd covered in all areas IMO. UD - 10 rounds to 2 or somewhere around there.

Duran could not cope with lateral movement Leonard proved it as did Benitez and Kirkland Laing. I dont know who i would pick in that fight though, because Duran was an animal at Lightweight.
