Ricky Hatton shouldn't be on there because when he moved up in weight he didn't look good. Some people think that p4p is about how a fighter would perform out of everyone in the world if weight and size were not an issue. Those guys are IDIOTS! The ONLY way to be p4p is to move up in weight and look good, JUST LIKE IN FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3!

The point the guy was trying to make is that an active boxers p4p standing, is effected by his overall resume, and of course resumes are better with a win, rather than a loss.

I appreciate reasoning's such as competition faced, how long ago and such. But still, that is factored in at least somewhat, and to varying degree's depending on the person, on what is the phantom p4p list.

Ricky Hatton got completely thrown out of the p4p list losing to the p4p #1, yet Cotto whom I'm more a fan of, stayed in losing to someone much lower p4p. It's quite legitimate to question why, and note that perhaps for eg. Hopkins could be lower p4p as he does have a few losses, and some of them relatively recent.

I guess some people factor in perceived ability over resume far more than others, which is fine in a way I guess, there's always going to be variances in peoples p4p's for reasons like that.

My question is how did Hatton get on "The Rings" top 10 P4P ranking for beating a fighter who isn't in Ring's top 100 in Juan Lazcano and previously ranked #62 Paulie Malignaggi. While Paul Williams is pushed out of the top 10 rankings for beating previously ranked #41 Verno Phillips and #55 Carlos Quintana. Even though Paul Williams was ranked ahead of Hatton, #12 and Hatton was #13. An effort to promote and sell Pac-Hatton? I feared this would start being the case when DLH bought "The Ring". Not to mention P. Williams is campaigning in diff. weight classes. Im not a williams fan by the way, I just dissagree.

Because Calderon is Puerto Rican and Marquez is mexican...good list but a little biased for PR fighters.

Because he lost twice. Even tho they were very competitive fights he loss to 2 in a row, he should be 11 or 12. With a decent win he will get back on my list. But there are guys like Hatton, Darchinyan and others who have done very good lately. I mean 1 loss, dont get you out of the top 10 P4P, depending on your previous ranking but 2 losses, come on now!!!!!!

No, because, Calderon is a 2 division lineal champ and came from another big win, while Marquez have lost twice in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hatton's famous "lovablity(is that even a word you ask? i don't have a clue) factor" gains him major points it seems... more than credible wins or some decent boxing skills could ever get anyone

This is boxing though, it's not as simple as winning or losing sometimes

Performance and circumstance should be taken into account to

and on the pound-for-pound list i strongly believe pure ability should take priority also
