Agreed. I admittedly am one of the biggest Froch bumboys on site, but agree that Taylor would have this fight if it ever came off, but something is stopping him. Then again, if he was to lose against Froch, it would put his career in jeapordy. Either that, or don't pit him against caucasion fighters again.
Jermain Taylor-Allan Green are Poised To Clash on March 28

The WBC is reportedly going to leave Taylor in the #1 contender spot AGAIN while Froch and Taylor seek out other opposition, so there is a good chance that Taylor's camp is biding its time with Froch, waiting for the loudmouthed Brit to make a name for himself in the ring so they can build more than passing interest in this fight the next go-round.
If Froch manages to line up an opponent that will put him on Showtime or even VS, I'd almost guarantee Taylor fights him next. And I'm talking about a live airing, or at least same day, not this bull**** FoxSports replay that came on a couple weeks after the Pascal fight.
So call Taylor a ***** or coward or whatever, but I think we all know that if the proper budget and television guarantees were truly present for Taylor/Froch, then we would be seeing that fight instead of Taylor/Green.
If anything he's money hungry... which DiBella fully conceded.Comment

Taylor is a spoiled fighter IMO or at least acting like one.Comment

Green gets a lot of flack because of the Edison Miranda fight. Reality is he was too low at 162 for that fight and is much better at 168. At 168 Green would KO Froch, just too big of an advantage with hand speed and punching power.Comment

I basically agree with this. Apart from the coward-tag. I think it's more a lack of confidence in Jermains abilities from team Taylor rather than the fighter being
I simply cannot understand that Taylor wont fight Froch. To me it looks like the perfect match-up for Taylor. A fight where he can showcase his skill and footwork against a slow hittable opponent.
I really don't see a problem with him putting off the Froch fight or waiting for a Kessler fight even until the end of the year. Part of the advantage of being the big draw is taking fights when you're ready for them and not rushing into anything you're not ready for. So, why should Taylor rush into a fight he can get later, especially when he's still fighting decent fighters?Comment

So Froch can now make a volontary defense with Taylor opting to wait in the wings. I wonder what happens if Froch then loses his title in a defense against perhaps Inkin or Larsen. Will Taylor then need another fight as the new champion builds a reputation?

If the fight happens in the summer would that change your opinion? I mean, Taylor was never properly developed. He was given at least one gift against Hopkins and was outboxed for long stretches by Winky Wright and Cory Spinks. So, while Taylor does have a lot of athletic ability it's really now or never if he's going to get better and hone his craft. He can do that against Green, but if he rushes into a fight with Froch then he'll basically be forced to defend against top contenders and champions for the rest of his career.

It could be argued that he should have won the first fight as some ref.s would have stopped the fight with Pavlik out on his feet in the 2. round and Taylor fought excellent in the second fight and a lot of people had him winning.
So for Taylor it's not an inability to land a championship fight this pointless fight against Green is Taylor's own choosing and that's highly dissapointing for this fan!Comment

I wonder how long Green will wait before pulling out of this fight and screwing over everyone involved?Comment
