Who is most brutal on sparring partners???

On the other hand Wlad usually holds back against his sparring partners, unless it is his brother. They say the real reason why Vitaly retired for 4 years was because Wlad beat his ass from pillar to post in his prep for the Rahman fight.

I've had the privilege of watching Wladimir spar last year, he definitely holds back. He's very defensive and uses his size advantage to negate his opponent's aggression but never seemed to turn it on. Then again, in the fight he was preparing for when I saw him (Ibragimov), he also never turned it on.

I thought the brothers never sparred each other.

No, they actually do a lot. Vitaly was the one who got Wlad into boxing back in the day and they still work together a lot.

Both admited to getting beat up by each other on tv as well.

I saw him spar Javier Mora one time on Youtube and he kept calling him a Puerto Rican ***** or something.

Mora is Mexican, though.

I've read that Fernando Vargas would try to knock his sparring partners out. None of the kronk fighters took it easy during sparring. I also read that Thomas Hearns sparred with Marlin Starling for the first Ray Leonard and broke Starlings jaw.
