      BIG BIG respect to Berto. Thats what I love to see. Fighters who are hungry and want to go at the best to BE the best.

      Based off of his last preformance though, I would agree with most people in this thread and say that he still needs a little work before getting in the ring with Cotto. But the problem is, Berto is the WBC Welterweight Champion. He holds the most "prestigious" belt out of all of the ABC's. I think its a blessing and a curse for him because that belt can get him great fights, yet, he may not be ready for that kind of quality. To say that the WBC Champ needs to stick with lesser comp to prepare for the big dogs is quite ridiculous.

          exactly why i said he eventually has to step up, but it would be better for him to wait, rematch collazo.

                      berto will ko cotto in 8..he will lose a ud to shane right now. 2-3 more fights and he will be ready for shane..

                      cotto is no beat and has feasted on handpicked opp at 147..berto is too explosive for cotto
