Everyone complains about how every fighter ducks this one and that one, and now one (maybe untested) fighter wants to step up the competition and he's ******?

I say, more power to you Berto, much respect and I hope htis fight goes down, as I'd love to see it.

Too early for Berto unless Cotto has been affected a lot from the Margarito fight.

Cotto, you gotta get past Jennings first bud.

I can see this being like Trinidad vs. Vargas(except for the PR vs. Mexico thing). A game, young, undefeated champ vs an established champ in his prime. A competitive fight with Berto getting broken down in the end and never really being the same.

Berto...how about you have your rematch with Collazo first? a doubleheader with Cotto instead? Night of the rematches, how does that sound?

                Margarito vs. Cotto 2
                Berto vs. Collazo 2

after all, that would set up a match against Cotto. no offense to Berto, but people arent quite interested in him fighting Cotto just yet. especially coming off his controversial fight with Collazo. plus, Cotto has unfinished business with Margarito.

now, if both of them get revenge in their rematches, on the same night, on the same card...ah, now you have people interested in the match. I know I would be more excited in that kind of a scenario.
hell, Id take any of those 4 fighting each other. although admittedly, Im not hugely interested in Collazo vs Cotto. If both PRcans won, I kind of would prefer a Cotto-Mosley rematch.

No, this sounds more like desperation than being brave. He won't ever be able to handle Cotto. Cotto/Mosley II makes more sense.

If I were managing Berto myself, Id let the big boys play with each other a little longer. The top 3 anyway. Plenty of other high calibre fighters out there to go after.
