This is simply ******ed. They give him a "temporary suspension" until a Feb 10 hearing? Thats in what, 15 days or so? Completely unnecessary since a fighter is AUTOMATICALLY suspended for 30 to 60 days following a knockout loss.

Not to pick on lawyers or anything, but are lawyers for both sides involved during this investegation? (I don't know, I'm just asking.) Because if so, couldn't his be dragged on for a minute? Plus, we won't be getting results on Feb. 10. That's just when Margarito and his trainer are scheduled to appear.

The short legacy of the Tijuana Tornado is over. The controversy alone is enough to do away with Margarito has accomplished, however you add on the vicious loss to Mosley and everthing now has to be considered in all factors of Margarito competing. Until the final verdict is assesed with the handwraps Margarito should take a much needed lay off until the end of the year to put all this madness behind him. Hopefully, Margarito can comeback a new more defensive fighter and take care of this dark cloud oover his career. Mosley on the other hand is in the mist of controversy and has dealt with training to face Margarito and conquering him meanwhile a divorce and the Balco incident. I wish both fighters the best over the coming month and again hope to see both back in the ring.

Legendary? Only thing Legendary about Margs is the way he takes a pounding and keeps coming. These type of boxers are short lived...at the rate he was going, he'd be lucky if he could tie his shoe laces by the time hes 35 years old.

the ironies of life. Sad this happened to margarito but he has to pay the price if this is true. But what about moselys admitted steroid use and cover up to follow, i guess if you are likeable it doesnt matter. Not saying margarito should get a get out of jail free card but he didnt fight with those gloves on against mosely and to say that margarito has always used these wraps is the same as saying mosely has always used steroids. I guess if you win the fight the boxing commission will look away to avoid embarrassment and lawsuits from fighters. i bet vargas is wondering why he got suspended and mosely didnt and the answer is he didnt win the fight.

As much as I don't want to believe that this is as bad as it appears to be it is critical the commission is swift and brutal with this. We must see rapid action (good job on the temporary suspension and quick Feb 10 hearing) and a fair and if guilty harsh sentence. The sport must look honest and the fighter all deserve to be as safe as possible.

Cuz cotto came in w/ completly the wrong gameplan for Marg. So if cotto changes his gameplan than it will be a good fight IMO.

This is absolutely DUMB. Cotto squeaked by a decision against Shane yet Margarito DEMOLISHED Cotto, yet you think it would make more since for Cotto to fight Tony who has no belt as opposed to Shane who does?

Wow they must have found something if they're actually suspending him, They're just waiting to confirm it 100% but if they weren't certain they wouldn't have suspended him. They should actually ban him from Boxing. He could of killed Cotto and he might have possibly ruined him all together. If i was Cotto I'd sue him because who knows how Cotto will be affected and if he'll be the same fighter he was. Margarito is in BIG Trouble thats for sure.

FACT IS MARGARITO WAS FORCED TO REWRAP 3 TIMES BEFORE THE FIGHT.
FACT IS AN UNKNOWN HARDENING SUBSTANCE WAS FOUND ON MARGARITOS GLOVES.
FACT IS MARGARITO AND HIS TRAINER WERE SUSPENDED.
FACT IS HE AND HIS NAME WILL ALWAYS BE SYNONYMOUS WITH THIS HANDWRAP THING (JUST LIKE TRINIDAD AND RECENTLY HOYA)
