Can we get some numbers on Whitaker/Haugen and Dirrell/Stevens? I'd be interested to know those.

I don't think there were any punch statistics for Whitaker-Haugen.

Stevens landed 43 punches on Dirrell, Dirrell landed 98 on Stevens.

Dirrell landed just 98 blows, most while going backwards, and while he is still undefeated, he rendered himself non-existent. Lou DiBella, who promotes Stevens, had promotional options on Dirrell in the event that he won. But DiBella was so disgusted by the way Dirrell fought, he doesn't plan to pick up the option and said he doesn't want to ever have Dirrell on one of his cards again.

Stevens, 22, at least, tried to make it a fight, but only could land a miserable 43 punches, according to CompuBox statistics. He just didn't have the talent or ability to cut off the ring against a fleeing Dirrell.

he did, but 41 divided by 6 means what. he landed 20 punches in the 1st 3 rounds, and it may have been even less than that, coz i didn't see gatti land nearly anything against floyd in the 1st 3 rounds. imo, that was the most flawless win of this decade and maybe the last decade also, just a brilliant offensive and defensive performance by floyd.

Sad on account of the former....Whitaker had Haugen mentally and physically defeated in that one. Perhaps his best performance.

Stevens/Dirrell was garbage. I can't blame DiBella. Dirrell fought like a coward. I'll never watch him fight again...I don't care if he has been performing better lately. That was a terrible fight.

43 in 10 rounds. 4.3 a round. Dismal. I still really want to see this fight at some point.

                Um, trust me. You don't.

                It was frikking awful.

Stevens was a famed puncher in the amateurs a fact not lost on Dirrell and he danced all night long recognizing that fact while Stevens did nothing to cut off the ring or reach him at all during that fight.

Dirrell is one of my favorites, and I actually might get some humor out of watching this one.
