This is where the compubox numbers don't tell the full story.
Gatti wasn't winning one second of that fight no matter what the numbers say he landed 41.
    It was 41 of nothing.....

Im sure if we had some Whittaker or Pep punchstats we could beat your number but I don't think I can.

Here's some fights that come close:

          I wouldn't trust boxrec though.

I'm almost certain Tito only landed 58 against Winky.

Derrick Gainer vs Juan Manuel Marquez should be up there.

Gainer i think was throwing like 15 punches a round and landing 1-3 a round

39 in 8 for Hopkins-Hakkar. 4.875 puncher per round. Not a bad find.

27 in 6 for Jones-Malinga. 4.5 per round. Also, another story of true domination.

Good memory. 58 in 12 translates to 4.667 punches per round.

I've never seen it, but I've heard it is among the worst fights ever.

We might have a new #1 here:

11/1/03 TW 7 DERRICK GAINER (dreadful fight, prompted by Gainer not showing up. Gainer, defending his version of the feather. Champ.,wanted no part of Marquez, throwing 22 punches per round and landing JUST 16 IN 7 ROUNDS!!! Marquez took what was available, landing 51 of 209 (24%)…Landed 31% of his power shots. Not a candidate for any future “Legendary Nights” shows. This fight was postponed twice before, should have been postponed again!!!)
