Hatton is no doubt happy with the sucsess he has already had in his career.

He's not a RJJ or PBF and has never claimed to be, he does have the best fans in teh business though and can never be accused of ducking people or taking the easy route.

His last 8 fights over the last 3 1/2 years stand up to most in the business and he's made more money than anyone bar ODLH.

Losing to PBF is hardly embarrasing, and I have no idea why you keep saying it is.

His legacy is fine and will be better by the time he retires, Pacman or no pacman.

You will never understand why Manny Pacquiao turn down your $13million. Yes, MP came from the street who hardly eat three times a day, from a country where most people make $8-$10/day your first reaction is how ****** can he be but for most people where he came from his reaction is noble ONE. But for Manny to get DOUBLE money 6mil-12mil GUARANTEED! & to be offered a 52-48 edge is a sign of rrespect for his accomplishment. Where is Manny's show of respect to Ricky? Many has never even done 500K PPV w/out DLH. Knock it off w/ this garbage. I love both fighters. But Manny isn't risking anything but a Mythical title. Even if he loses....he'll only fall 2 places or so. Ricky will never be #1P4p.. I do read the US press, and they simply state that Pacquiao has not agreed to the terms of the offer.


Although I don't agree with it, it is no different than an NBA player not agreeing to a contract offer from a team.

Losing to the best fighter in the world is not embarassing. I sure hope you're not fan complaining about seeing good matchups boxing. Ricky Hatton said he wanted to fight the best, and unlike his countryman Joe, he made the necessary sacrifices in weight class and location to make it a reality. That effort should be applauded and appreciated by Boxing fans... not disparraged.

My gut is beginning to tell me this all boils back down to the DLh fight. the 70/30 split oscar forced onto him never sat well. I get the feeling he felt like he was held hostage by oscar. & now since shaffer is representig Ricky in their negotiations....that bad taste is still there. I'm begiining to see this is less about ricky than it is Manny's current "inferiority complex" (I don't mean that in a denigrating way either) All over the blogs on several site I have read about filipino ppeople being traditionally treated in a second class manner. & a lot of stuff about white people trying to dominate brown people. & just b/c phillipines is a poor country doesn't mean u can walk all over them.... I can understand all of that. prizefighting has historically always been as much about ethnic pride & social/sconomic standing as it has been about the actual fight. ..In fact moreso. B/c prizefighting has always been just that...a "prizefight" for money. But the representation of racial & ethnic pwr is wrapped up in that also.
