I could pick so many holes in pac's argument but its not worth it because its all been said already. He is either getting bad advice or doesn't know the facts. When you assess a hatton pay-per view you have to consider the figures on both sides of the Atlantic!!!!!

Arum should have negotiated the 60-40 and hatton kept the UK pay per view money, and pac's people would have been none the wiser, I feel some of the people advicing him are un-educated morons.

In the mayweather fight hatton ended up earning over $30 million because of UK TV, probably around the same as mayweather thats what manny and his representitves are failing to get their head around!!!!!

I dont know who is MORON here.. but the fact is, Hatton alone can not do it by his own. Look at how it flops during the Hatton -Malignaggi fight on Nov 2008. Hatton could make it by the help of true superstars in the like of Mayweather as you mentioned, and most probably in the like of Pacquiao. It means that he only become truly marketable when he is paired with true boxing superstar, and just nothing when not. Even UK drawers would become amazingly high but this depending on whom he match-up with.

U sound ******. This is about ego just as much as respect. Ricky is the highest selling fighter next to DLH. & has the biggest fan support of any fighter in the world. What respect is MAnny showing for ricky who went 13 years undefeated. Fought his way from not fighting on tv. & obscurity to being the # 1 european attraction. & not to mention the lineal champion in his weight div. MAB & EM R Hof fighters. But they were all damgaed. MaB from his Wars w/ EM. & DLH from being a part -time fighter. & David diaz was the weakest fighter @ 135. So pacquiao really hasn't fought anyone competative above 35. He is awsome yes. But for Manny to get DOUBLE money 6mil-12mil GUARANTEED! & to be offered a 52-48 edge is a sign of rrespect for his accomplishment. Where is Manny's show of respect to Ricky? Many has never even done 500K PPV w/out DLH. Knock it off w/ this garbage. I love both fighters. But Manny isn't risking anything but a Mythical title. Even if he loses....he'll only fall 2 places or so. Ricky will never be #1P4p.. But if he loses. he loses the lineal title he's worked very hard for.Manny wants respect but shows none to his opponent. Everybody knows manny is a gambler/poker player. But this will end badly for him.

This fight has more money in it than any 2 other "big" fights. The deal will be done eventually.

Pacquiao just claim what is due him. And his claim for a higher purse than hatton is meritorious. It is rediculous for hatton to claim a 50/50 split because by standard, he is not in the same level of Pacquiao as of today. The money that the british people may bring in the fight is of no moment because the issue that are to be taken into primary consideration here is the credibility of the fighter involved. Pacquiao is way way miles ahead of hatton in so far as credibility is concern. He beaten up and knocked out class A or prominent or even legendary fighters around the world. He is very well known to the boxing world and always in the pound for pound ranking long time ago before hatton was introduced to the boxing world. The first significant fight of hatton is when he defeated the aging and out of his prime Tzu and also the fight was made in his grandmother's skirt. Before that fight, he is a never heard fighter while Pacquiao is already a rising boxing star around the globe. Hatton was first introduced to America during his fight with mayweather. That fight is just his debut to be recognized in the world of boxing but his ass got whipped easily and the boxing lovers saw nothing of him but a dismal turn out as it was seen that he can't do nothing in front of a caliber fighter. He probes nothing in that fight but on the other hand, it crystalize that during his entire career, he just knocked out bums from england who are made purposely for him to brighten his boxing record. Significantly, when he fought Mayweather as his debut in the world of real fighters, Pacquiao is already a longtime superstar in boxing and already the second best around the world. Hence, by standard as of today honestly and fairly, Hatton is just a rising star in boxing and Pacquiao is already a Megastar and the is the best pound for pound second to none. Therefore, Hattons demand for a 50/50 split is out of sense and reason but a 60/40 or 55/45 in pacquiao's favor is just fair to both.
