all respect drew... 15 people agreeing with you hardly proves you're right.

He can polish it and paint it. Maybe even cling to his trinket of a belt

I realize that.. and 14 people disagreeing with me hardly proves me wrong.. the more this thread goes the more I think he can't make light welterweight. I was just pointing out that the idea is not so off the wall.

Especially in boxing. You want the limbs to be loose, not tight.

In all honesty, Berto isn't going to amount to much.

Collazo showed you don't have to be overly powerful to beat Andre.

I think Berto is a lesser Judah without the mental deficiencies.

He'd also be carrying around less muscle and not running into welterweights.. I realize Jeff Lacy can't just wake up one day hit the gym less and have Jermaine Taylor's build, Just considering the option. As per BrendanWoodside, maybe he can grow vertically a bit.

Berto started fighting at 162 lbs. He weighed 160 going into his last fight. No doubt he does some serious drying out to make welter. I bet if you asked him or his people about making 140, they would laugh at the idea.

And thanks for your response. Berto is an undefeated welterweight champion. What motivation would he have to punish his body and fight for a lesser title?

He is not a welterweight champion he has a trinket called a title. He is a maturing prospect. He is a short, short welter. I have a hard time seeing hime beating bigger guys
