Because you care about the PPV's don't mean you go against the actaul fight...That is DUMB
What does that have to do with you ENJOYING the fight? Isn't that why all of us watch Boxing?

I mean, let's be real. None of us here are top promoters or agents for these boxers that we should care what money they got coming in. I mean, I'm a fan of many fighters, but how does it hurt me as a fan if their fight "only" made 400k on PPV? Does that mean we are never going to see them fight a high profile fight?

The numbers don't always determine how good a fight is or can be. Look at the music soundscan...some of your favorite rappers & singers may sell ****, but will that prevent you from listening to the album itself and making your own judgement?

The poll is ridiculous. Basically if you care about buyrates you have to vote for I care more about PPV Buyrates than the actual fight? How about, of course the actual fight means the most, but I do think buyrates are important?

      That poll is pretty unfair.

The fight and the matchups are always by far the primary interest, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that the buyrates interested me. They effect the future of the sport.

Marquez/Vasquez was the best fight of 08, and it wasnt even on PPV. Does that mean we shouldnt care about them? That fight was 100000x better than most of the crap that was on ppv.

Should've made the poll public, so we can see what IDIOT voted for ppv buy rates >>> the actual fight.

Look at the 2nd option on the vote poll. So your sayin we can't care about the buyrates AND the actaul fight? That is where I'm gettin at

LOL dude trust me, I love when I hear Boxing making moves to better the sport, but in NO WAY do I concentrate on the PPV numbers so heavily that it distinguishes my thoughts on if the fight was a success or not.

If it was a dope fight, it selling 23K isn't going to "swerve" my thoughts on how good a fight it was. That's the entire point.

If you like to follow PPV numbers, then continue...awesome!!! But the point is that it should not be the main focus if you're not remotely involved in receiving a cut.

It's funny because people make it seem as if Boxing's not going anywhere (which I agree with), but in the same breath they worry about what numbers a fight pulled like if the sport is dying
