"Look around you. You can see how many have turned out tonight. I sold out the City of Manchester Stadium in six hours, 55,000 people. Thousands follow me to Vegas. How many people does he bring from the Philippines? Not many," Hatton said as quoted by Kevin Garside, the Chief of Sports Writers for the British broadsheet, in a story that was published last Friday.
"No disrespect to Manny, he is a great fighter, and deserves his pound-for-pound accolade. But I bring as much to the table if not more than him. We agreed a 50-50 split. It’s that or nothing," added Hatton, who also dabbles in comedy gigs.
And that probably is the reason you won the Pacman sweepstakes, take the friggin 60/40 offer and take your shot at glory, you might never get the chance again

hatton is right about bring just as much if not more money to the table. look at it this way, if hattons fans wanted to play big bank vs little bank, whos got more money in their wallets, it would no doubt be hattons fans. their currency is stronger for starters, but hattons fans have no problem spending their money too and traveling to see him fight, where as for pacquiao, only the some of rich from his country travel see him or gov officials.being part filipino and have been rasied around and in a filipnio community, i can tell you that the spending of hattons fans almost triples compared to what pac's fans would spend. i could go on for days talking about this that and the other when compared to who has more cash and who is spending it like the host cities of the fights want them to spend it, but the bottom line is this, manny could have half of a very huge pie, or he can have 3/4's of a smaller pie that won't even come close to what the half of the big pie would yield.................

I totally agree. Bottom line? I dont think Pacman is a very intelligent person. No disrespect to him, but i just think he does what those around him tell him to do. I read that he never really had an education while growing up. Common sense would tell u that 50% of a fight with Hatton, would be more than recieving 75% of a fight a fight with anyone else other than Floyd. I just dont see what's the problem signing for 50/50 plus UK ppv revenue. Sounds like a sweet ***ing deal to me!

50/50 (like they already agreed) or Ricky should tell Pac to piss off. Pac wants to be a greedy twat let him try to get 60/40 from those top names that are "lining up" to fight him. Floyd, Margarito and Cotto etc, wont fight him if they're getting short changed either. Pac will either come to his senses or lose his only shot at a mega-payday!

Pac is a greedy coward and I wont pay a dime for any of his fights now, even if he mans up and fights Hatton, like he agreed to in the 1st place.

And what has Manny's education got to do with all of these? ON the contrary, if Manny is that uneducated according to you, he would have just say Yes to Arum for the 50/50 deal. But he didn't. He could see between the lines that he was being taken for a ride.

Answer this? Is Ricky Hatton deserving to get 50/50 with Pacquiao when you compare their resumes against each other? If Hatton is the P4PKing and has just beaten Dela Hoya and Manny is the IBO Belt Holder but has lost via KO to Floyd, would you allow Manny to get 50/50 deal? I'll let you think hard about it..

50/50 is fair. they should do something unique, and have the winner get an extra million or two, and present them a big phony check after the fight.

i say they get creative in these negotiations. perhaps it will keep the fight from being lost.

You keep insisting that the 50/50 was a done deal. It wasn't. The fight was still under negotiation when Team Pacquiao notice the split percentage issu. GBP and Arum, unfortunately, tried to pull a fast one over Manny, that is why they insisted on a deadline.

Your man's dad even threatened Manny of a lawsuit. Now they have budged a little. So tell me who is greedy. Team Hatton knew 50/50 was a jackpot for them, if it went unnoticed. But it didnt. So reality-check. It was them who

No need to call Pacquiao coward, just dont watch his fights.. that is what youtube is for. Goodluck on your fav fighters careers.

All this **** makes me think Hatton's people have something else up their sleeves. Something big.

It's an interesting little drama being played out.

Arum had Hatton agree to splitting the UK PPV 50/50 which would've made Pac more then getting a 60/40 and NO UK PPV cut, like FMJ took. Pac had a sweet deal but his team was too ignorant to realize it.
