I just want to see him in there with some more noteworthy opponets, hell I'd even settle for Miranda at this point, he's exciting, limited, and likely to get the snot beaten out of him by Kessler.
I agree. I'd still love to see Miranda vs. Kessler.

Basically I think I'm just trying to convince myself he has a chance here. Mads Larsen is sort of a local hero here in Aarhus, Denmark, and I'm a huge fan.

But i truly believe he has a chance. He is extremely fit, and he is a very clever boxer. In his last fight (against a weak opponent, I know) he looked to have regained some of the speed, he lost in his 3-year break. Mads will give Mikkel a real fight

Kesser's last win over a top 20 opponent was in March 2007. Since then he has beaten no champions, former champions or top contenders, and by the looks of things he won't be up against a top 5 (or even top 10) guy anytime soon.

Taylor's win over Lacy isn't great, but is worth more than anything Kessler did in 2008. Taylor's 2nd fight with Pavlik was pretty close, and he has 2 wins over Hopkins. I consider him to be the number #1 boxer in the division.

I basically agree. I just dont think Larsen is prepared at all to face such a skilled and determined opponent.

And I dont believe Larsen fights Kessler until he sets foot in the ring come fight night. He's an extremely enigmatic character for sure. Didn't Bredahl write that Larsen always was ill or injured?

Biggest fight available for Kessler for sure.

Those who wants to see Kessler against a top yank will have to wait. After Larsen, Kessler has another lame mandatory against the hugely popular, deserving, dangerous, superstar Perdomo (or something like that)...
After this fight Kessler should be free of Palle and should head for bigger fights than a WBA-mandatory. Keep up the faith BatTheMan (or pray)

After 2 months of preparation, all the media hype, 30-40000 spectators in the Parken and live on danish television, and then all of a sudden an announcement "Mads Larsen is injured!" boxing fans ones more.

Free from Palle? I hope so. But in the media this fight was labelled as PART OF a deal to be released. So more obstacles ahead including the mentioned lame mandatory.

                  Men vi kan da håbe....

Yeah. That scenario would be so awful. But unfortunately cannot be ruled out.

                      Larsen-Kessler makes sense.
It will be the battle of Copenhagen versus Aarhus, and Aarhus always wins that battle

Winner goes to the USA to fight everyone and get exposure.
