I personally scored it 114-113 for Berto. However, I am sure (after having watched the fight a couple of times) that there were two rounds that could've gone either way. One was round 6 (if I'm not mistaken), it was a round where Collazo was against the ropes for a minute if not more, as Berto and him went at it swinging hooks and trading wildly. I scored it for Berto although maybe it could've gone for Collazo. The first round could've probably gone either way, but being that Collazo made the more impressionable punch (knocking Berto back against the ropes with that straight left), I gave it to him.

I'd understand if someone said that they had Collazo winning 114-113. I'd understand if someone said they had Berto ahead by 114-113. Hell, I'd be okay with a draw, but there was no way the fight could've been wider than 115-113. The judge who scored it 116-111 (keeping in mind the point deduction) was way off.

My dad scored it for Collazo 116-113 as Harold, but not exactly as he had it. There was one round that Harold gave Collazo that was incorrectly given, which was the one where Collazo seemed to be gassed. It was the round where he dropped his hands for a long while, bending over and evading Berto's punches. Collazo took the round off, and Harold somehow managed to give it to Collazo.

But all of this nitpicking would mean being unappreciative and overlooking the fight's dramatic and action-packed capacities. It was one of those few fights that, no matter who you were rooting for, you come out of it being satisfied because both put on a tremendous fight and it showed, they put their heart into it, and you can't fake that.

I, for one, enjoyed that fight immensely and can't wait for next Saturday's showdown with Margarito and Mosley.

What a terrific start to HBO's Boxing calendar in 2009!

I had Collazo 114-113 but could have gone either way.The point deduction from Berto was easy though.

I'm pretty sure some propagandist, extremist fans in here got on their ALT's and voted twice or thee times to give Collazo this boost since they rely on the polls so much to make their point.

No way this many legit people voted. Usually after a good amount of votes, the thread gets lost and the newcomes dont see the thread to vote on. But I'm sure a few people kept voting with their alts in the background.

Maybe you didn't do it but someone else did. I've heard a few dip****s in here ignore the poll when the polls were close in numbers. They said it didn't matter.

But once Collazo got the lead, they all refered me to the polls. They didn't wanna debate the punch stats, the 12th round finish from Berto, the rounds that he won and lost. NO JUST THE POLL. It's funny how other strangers opinion matters once they go with your own.
