Collazo piled up the early rounds after losing the 1st. Yes, Berto had a late rally and def. took the last two rounds in my book but, with the point deduction and Collazo's early work I had him winning a razor thin decision.

I gave it to Berto. Rounds 1 and 12 were critical. And I thought Berto clearly took those rounds.Comment

colllazo was after berto the whole fight, he never took a step back or showed that he was scared. in the first round if the ropes weren't close by berto would of fell.
give him the rematch, hopefully somewhere up here, nyc or atlantic city...
round 1-berto
round 2- collazo
round 3-berto
round 4-collazo
round 5-berto
round 6-berto
round 7-berto
round 8-collazo
round 9-collazo
round 10-collazo
round 11-berto
round 12-berto
with the 1 point deduction for holding you have it 7-6 berto or 114-113
collazo needed to win the 11th and 12th but berto came back after the 10th and attacked collazo to the body again. the 12th was huge as berto's body shots almost got collazo out of there.Comment

I downloaded it this morning, watched it, and scored it before I knew there was going to be some controversy about it. I ended up with...
1 - 10-9 collazo (10-9 Collazo)
2 - 10-9 Berto (19-19 Even)
3 - 10-10 Even (29-29 Even)
4 - 10-8 Collazo (39-37 Collazo)
5 - 10-9 Berto (48-47 Collazo)
6 - 10-9 Collazo (58-56 Collazo)
7 - 10-9 Berto (68-67 Collazo)
8 - 10-9 Berto (77-77 Even)
9 - 10-9 Collazo (87-86 Collazo)
10 - 10-9 Collazo (97-95 Collazo)
11 - 10-9 Berto (106-105 Collazo)
12 - 10-9 Berto
115-115, a draw.
I also gave an even round in the third while the HBO crew thought Collazo won it in a landslide. Berto was being outlanded 2 to 1 but it looked to me that he was dishing out even damage so I scored it so. With the point deduction a win for Berto is a tough sell though. The rounds he lost were lost convincingly. I didn't like the call so if I didn't have to honor the deduction I'd have had Berto winning by a point, but that would be as far as you could rationally go. I don't think Collazo edged out a single of the close rounds on my card, so if you gave any one of those to Luis, or scored the third for him for volume, he wins.Comment

I thought Collazo won by a couple of points, but it was fairly close.
Max Kellerman (I hate that guy, he commentates like he's a nut-hugging troll on NSB) needs to STFU with the Collazo was "ripped off" against Hatton crap. Collazo wasn't "ripped" of, he just lost a close decision because Hatton won more rounds, scored a knockdown and outworked him. Just because LC had 2 really good rounds doesn't mean a judge can change how he scored the fight. If boxing had a "who do you think got the better of who in the fight" on scorecards then maybe Collazo could argue he won, but he still lost more rounds and was out worked and knocked down.Comment
