POLL: WHO WON - BERTO vs COLLAZO

I had Berto winning. I would have had no problem with Collazo getting the nod though.

I mean, you guys are seriously going overboard with this robbery ****. I was rooting for Collazo and I'm not huge on Berto, but he was the more consistent fighter.

What it came down to in my opinion: Collazo was more dominant in the rounds he won. But we judge by a round by round basis. Round 1 was a perfect example of how I thought the fight went. Berto was winning the round till Collazo hit him with that overhand straight left and knocked him off balance. Than he landed another good couple of shots. After that Berto weathered the storm and came back with a couple of vicious combos. They each had equally impressive 30 second spurts, but the action in the other 2 minutes was all Berto. Berto won that 1st round UNQUESTIONABLY. He was more consistant.

And that's how a lot of rounds went. Collazo would have his moments, but Berto was simply the sharper puncher and was the more consistent of the two. And what really mattered is that Berto came out in the 12 on a mission. He needed that 12th and he gave a championship effort.

I think Berto won, but like I said, if Collazo got the nod I wouldn't have argued.

I honestly hoped for a good fight and we sure as heck got it- Also im albanian so i have no biased towards either fighter!

I had Collazo up by 2 points- i think he clearly won the fight....the sad thing was berto`s own father thought he lost the fight prior to the judges read the cards- what made me believe that is before the 10th round i believe he screamed out "YOU NEED A KNOCK OUT TO WIN" very sadd- Anyway cong**** on the win for all the Berto family/friends/fans- even thou I disagree with the decision, i accept it!

I had Berto winning 114-113. I felt it came down to that last round. Collazo just didn't have anything left to put any sting on his punches and Berto just had enough to land the better blows and throw more.

I think Berto won rounds 6 and 7 which gave him the fight in my eyes. However, I can easily see it going in Collazo's favor what with the knock downs and the point deduction for holding and all.

I just feel Berto did enough in the later rounds to squeak out a decision. If Collazo had gotten the decision though I would not have complained.

To me it wasn't even debateable, Luis Collazo won the fight hands down by at least 2 points. he was outworking, out smarting and overall just showcasing his experience, he took many punches in a lot of the earlier rounds but IMO he managed to get the better of the fight down the line.. I'm an honest Boxing fan yo I had actually picked Berto to win but when he won there wasn't no one pissed off more than me, I didn't even have words for a minute as I was breathless, I was just in disbelief on how they could take Collazo's shine like that..

this isn't the 1st time, they just refuse to let guys like Luis Collazo win. he won the fight the same way Glen Johnson won the fight and they took it in the very same way except with Glen he had been robbed many more times hence the emotional lashing. Collazo outworked him, at times where they were exchanging he landed the better shots, he did everything he had to do in order to win, infact the only thing he DIDN'T do was be awared HIS decision.. it's truly a sad year's beginning for Boxng. for those who think that Collazo wasn't robbed think on it like this, if Collazo was the champion and Berto had fought the way Collazo fought and vice versa do you think they would have given it to Collazo then? hell no, what took place yesterday was the preservation of an undefeated prospects momentum. they BOTH have a HUGE heart, I earned TONS of respect for Berto but he lost the fight..

I invite any of you to watch the fight with no volume and just view the fighters, let the punches literally do the talking and you'll see who was more effective. I believe in being fair, in giving BOTH fighters the same grounds to win on and due to my being that way I have no choice but to give it to Collazo, he successfully fought his fight and even though he was tired he was still competitive, he still fought back harder. it's seriously disappointing man.. I want to be happy for Berot, **** man I even picked the dude so you would think I was, but I can't shake the feeling that he lost..

I had Collazo winnng 6 rounds the first time. Just watched it again, and I gave him 7. I can understand why people would be upset at the decision. Still shouts of robbery I dont know.
