Did Ray ever fight David Starie or Evans Ashira?

Time to step up Ray or give up that "sugar" nickname.

Hell no, he didn't. Joe deserves that 'Sugar' moniker. Sugar Joe Calzaghe FTW!

I mean, to even have this question up, is a disservice to Robinson.
How about Joe versus Holyfield at LHW?
im sorry, calzaghe is too big for him and would win.

No, he didnt have God like abilities. Thts wat i mean, people exaggerate so much its ridiculous.

He wasnt going backwards when he KO'd Fullmer. But it was one of the best punches ever thrown.

His recoed at WW is amazing, but theres hardly any footage, and i cant say i know 90% of his opponents.
Difficult to say he was God-like.

Come on man. Calzaghe's good but surely you can't be serious about comparing him to Ray Robinson.

So throwing a lot of punches always means you'll win? The game we know as boxing is a lot more complex then that sir. Just because you throw 1200 punches in a fight doesn't always mean your going to win, and as we all know you can hit the wall in the locker room 10000 times after getting knocked out and it won't change anything.

Anyways to me it seems both sides are either underrating Joe, and overrating Ray. Both would give each other a good fight (at SMW imo, at MW I think Ray has it). Also one thing that may be interesting to think about is Ray is use to going 15 rounds, so how would his pace be in a 12 rounder? It'd be pretty intense if you ask me.

I guess I should make a predict of this fight now. Let see I can certainly see Ray knocking out Joe in the later rounds, but I can't even imagine Joe knocking out Ray. So Joe would have to win on points which is possible. Lets say Joe win a SD in the first fight, and Ray takes the rematch by UD. Then if theres a rubber match I see Ray knocking Joe out in, lets say the middle of round 9.
