It was ruled a TKO... Cotto was knocked out, he just wasn't unconcious. But you could definately see it in his mangled face. He had nothing left to offer in that fight. Every man has his quitting point. It took me by suprise too whe he took the knee, but then again, I've never had the **** beat out of me by Antonio Margarito.

When asked about why couldn't keep boxing like in the begging of the fight he said margarito took his legs from him. When asked why didn't he clinch he said if you watch my fights i've never clinched that's not my fight, I don't fight like that, that's a whole different style and also says you will NEVER see cotto clinch on purpose. When asked why he didn't go to the body against margarito he said he did try but he couldn't do it said margarito was well prepared for the body attack. Also said he got up to 178lbs during his time off. He said the highest he's ever gotten after a fight is 190lbs.(idiots on these forums will say he needs to fight cruiseweight now lol) That's pretty much all he said pretty straight foward, classy no excuse type of guy it seems like. I think his fans believe their own excuses more than cotto would.
He doesn't side step questions he give straight forward answers. He's a classy guy.

Some say "retire" rather than quit. Your boy Floyd quit out of the ring... It is clear that he saw something in Margarito and Cotto that he knew he did not want to deal with. He played all his little cards to make enough money for big rims and corny oversized watches. He milked his fanboys with wack ass PPV events.

            Floyd VS Baldomir

            Floyd VS Gatti

            Floyd VS Oldtimer

            Floyd Vs lil Ricky.

He went out like a btch. Cotto is fighting the very man that made Mayweather all twitchy not once, but twice.

I know you like Floyd cause he is black enough for your program, but at some point you gotta say to yourself: "Hold up, this boy is a straight up *****!?!"

Floyd knows he is btch... he is prob on meds right now for depression and nervousness. Legend? At this point, Floyd is Sugar Ray Leonard's water boy.

I wish more fighters were like that^^, no excuses, just straight talk...Cotto is a good fighter and hope he does well after taking that type of punishment from Tony. But i just cant believe that Top Rank would feed Cotto to Tony again after giving Cotto a gimme fight....I dont think top rank is looking after the best interests of Cotto....TJ Tornado by brutal TKO

i'm a big fan of cotto.. he's a classy straight forward dude. no nonsense. but some fighters that fought him also said that he a real *******, Malignaggi said he said something like: i'm going out to lunch with my knuckle sandwich that has your name on it..

some other things.. i think it sounds bs, but u guys hear that about him?

anyway, cotto vs. mayweather, then we'll find out what's what. but floyd ain't gonna wanna do that. Pacquiao vs. mayweather, but i think Pacquiao will be going down, along with Hatton.

Margarito is just too damn big and strong for welterweights across the board, only rematch with williams. which would be hot though!
