I dont understand why its so cool to hate on Cotto? dude genuinely loves the sport and is actually a good fighter so i dont see what the big deal in hating him is.

as for the clinching, it looks to me more like something he cant do than something he wont do, he actually did clinch the first few times he got buzzed by margo (and torres) but he just gets thrown off when he does. I dont really see what was 'classy' about that interview, he got beaten, he admitted it, thats the least i'd expect from a boxer, thats the minimum requirementComment

I like Cotto, he's a genuine guy. I remember watching the Margarito vs Cotto HBO countdown, he seemed like a cool guy during the programme.
Margarito seemed cool as well. It was pretty sad though when he spoke about his brothers death and started crying.Comment

i think clinching is a learned skill that every fighter needs to have. you have to know when to clinch and how to clinch.
with that said, it wasn't clinching, or lack of clinching that was cotto's downfall against margarito. margarito was the better and smarter fighter that night. he had a better game plan, and better execution of that plan.Comment

The bloody nose didn't help his stamina at all which started in the 2nd round. Even with that, Cotto was still in the fight all the way through the 11th.
It'll be a hell of a fight for him to win a rematch, but he's not one of the top names in boxing for nothing.
I think we'll see a stronger Cotto in the rematch.Comment
