You make a valid point but what you don't seem to see is the way Calderon can no longer run for 12 and Cazares hit him with two uppercuts which put him down, even though the referee didnt seem to agree. He ducks into an uppercut, it's his way to be elusive, Gonzalez takes that option away. But for clash of heads I think there would be a defeat on his record already.
No one is invincible for ever and should Calderon take the fight, it will be over by 6.
All I keep hearing on this thread is styles make fights but for the wrong reason , it his calderon that is tailor made for Gonzalez.

If you have, tell me what fight was that so I can look it up and keep discussing, until then, the former super champ at 105 and recognized 108 champ takes him! Let me address your post by parts, why would Calderon want to take him now, who is he, who was Niida and who he fought?
Calderon will have to stand and trade at some point, yes, he can do that, he did it against a guy who weight 132 the night of the fight, why wouldn't he do it against Gonzalez who is unproven young fighter? Calderon is a very good clincher, if Gonzalez manages to hit him cleanly and hurt him, you can bet Calderon won't be there to take the second shot.
Gonzalez, faster than Calderon?....... Not even gonna go there.

Let me know when Gonzalez fights a slick boxer...
