The Calderon of two years ago would be different but Calderon is being forced to fight in recent fights because those legs cant go 12, especially against a young buck like Gonzalez who exerts pressure like no one calderon has faced.
Styles make fights I agree but age does also. He had to stand and fight Cazares a bit and didnt look very comfortable.
How does he keep Gonzales off 9 thru 12 with that wicked uppercut he throws 40 times a round, if he goes that far?
Can you name me a boxer "ever" that threw more.
I can't, and I have been watching boxing for a lot longer than i care to remember.
It's true he can go for Calderon now, he's only 21 so he can bounce back or a loss could ruin him.

His legs looked fine in the second Cazares fight, Calderon is aging surprisingly well for a guy with his type of style and Gonzalez has not fought anyone the of Calderon's caliber. Movement neutralizes workrate, which is what Calderon does very well.

never seen this gonzalez kid, checked him out on the tube, looks pretty good, not good enough to beat calderon.don't give a **** about who did what with common opponents.
what matters is what they do against each other.he's not fast enough to beat calderon.
end off story.i do like his game though.he's got that boxer puncher **** down pat.

Wether Calderon loses or not he should take the fight, only thing he wont get cerdit fr beating someone with such a little record, Gonzalaz might as well blend in with the crowd because other than impressing in his few fights he still doesnt stand out yet. Im all for Calderon to move up in weight and try getting into the VIc, Mijares, Arce crowd.

watch this chump, and see how cazares decked calderon twice with it and Gonzalez throws them by the dozen.
calderons fav way to slip a punch is to duck down , he is tailor made for gonzalez.
I think that answers your question.

Movement and defense, neutralises, punch out and effectiveness. enough said

Cazarez was the best 108 pounder. Gonzales with the exception of niida as only fought cab drivers. He havent fought nobody near the caliber of Calderon or Cazares!!!!!!!!

I think they would make great fights for their divsion, their are really good boxers he could fight if he moves up that are young just like Gonzalez like

                    Japanese famous boxer, KAMEDA Koki

                    Nonito Donaire

I see Calderon losing soon, but still staying in the picture with good effort

I think you make some good points Champ but Gonzales has a better guard, better footwork, throws much crisper punches than cazares.
He is a legitimate 108 and took out Varela in one round in only his 14th fight at that weight.
I know he has yet to beat one of 108 champions but Solis couldnt put away Gonzalez team mate Espinosa and if you had ever seen what Gonzalez does to him in the gym, you wouldnt talk like that.
Calderon is a great champion but they should fight and hopefully by the end of the year.
