    That was a suprise rebuttal.
Gonzalez is young and a master at cutting off the ring, and when he does catch him, he will hit him with so many uppercuts he will be down and out. The referee wont be able to call it a slip as calderon falls like he did everytime Cazares hit him with one.
You obviously havent watched Gonzalez and I have seen nearly every Calderon fight.

I know what I see, and this boy is for real.
They have two common opponents they have fought, Gonzales dispatched both in a total of 3 rounds, Calderon took 21.
first just because the guy looks like a dchamp doesnt mean he will clear the 108 pound division like this guy is trying to say. Calderon is not the only 108 pounder champ, Solis and Sosa are very good too. They are not a walk in the park for anybody. This dude is trying to hype Gonzales as if he is the second comming of Finito Lopez.

Whats your point with that, every bodyknows Calderon is feather fisted. Styles makes fights my friend!!!!!!!!!

          ROMAN GONZALEZ
          WBA Minimumweight Titleholder 22-0 (20)
          Last Year’s Ranking: not rated
Status Report: Four reasons to get excited about “El Chocolatito”: He’s only 21, he’s a natural puncher, he needed only four rounds to bludgeon long-reigning Yutaka Niida in September, and it was his fifth fight of 2008, which was followed by a sixth fight, a non-title bout with journeyman Miguel Tellez (RTD 3), in December. Nicaraguan doesn’t have many other quality names on his resume, but the two best, title contenders, Eriberto Gejon and Jose Luis Varela, both met the same fate, falling in a single round.
Future: There’s still a ton to prove, but in terms of potential to capture the imagination, he’s the best strawweight to come along since Ricardo Lopez.

Just me and RING magazine I suppose.
Oh and Doug fischer from RING who has him to make top 10 P for P this year.
          What fools we are.

Oh and a quote from another nobody “He is a natural talent, much more polished at the age of 21 than what I could ever dream of being. If he dedicates himself, he can be one of the all time greats"

Boys, your getting a bit excited here, if only the fight would last so long.

Gonzalez could be something special but I would hate to rush him and put him in against a guy like Calderon so soon, right now Calderon by decision.

The scalp is worth the risk, he can always bounce back.
The Calderon of two years ago would be different but Calderon is being forced to fight in recent fights because those legs cant go 12, especially against a young buck like Gonzalez who exerts pressure like no one calderon has faced.
Styles make fights I agree but age does also. He had to stand and fight Cazares a bit and didnt look very comfortable.
How does he keep Gonzales off 9 thru 12 with that wicked uppercut he throws 40 times a round, if he goes that far?
Can you name me a boxer "ever" that threw more.
I can't, and I have been watching boxing for a lot longer than i care to remember.

Calderon will not be able to box his way and move around Gonzales. The guy's a ****ing leech. He will be always in front of you throwing shoeshiners. He cuts the ring very well. Just look at what he did to Niida. He completely demolished him and make him look like nothing. I hope the guy gets his break and be able to fight in the states soon because a lot of boxing fans is missing a very special fighter.

Do you realize that you cant hit what you cant catch? How the hell Gonzales will landed that uppercut if Calderon will be too far from him.
