I mean he is but.. Why did he retire honestly the 2nd-3rd biggest paydays of his life are out there right now, instead he let Margarito (cotto) and Moesly (margarito) steal them away.. He chose to fight an old ODLH and no one else in the grime of whos reALLY BETTER TERRIOTORY .. JLC was good 10 years ago Corrales too (RIP) but Hatton an ODLH dont cut it when you got.. Margarito,Cotto, Williams, Mosely, Berto, Hatton, Pac... All with the crowns you had and are still capable of having SUPPOSEDLY, why dont you man up and fight for whats suppose to be yours! LOL im a Floyd fan but this drink and blunt got me thinking!

When u have that much money and have worked as hard as he has to get it, more hard work. months of training and dieeting etc only to get hit by big bastards isnt very tempting.
He has lost desire to fight. And he doesnt have to anymore.Comment

He has plenty of money too... and he is an All Time Great, he is on the top 50 list mate. Also the point in fighting De La Hoya was because he is a cash cow and Floyd could get ALOT of money for it... and also another world title in another weight class, it was a fight that was talked about for ages... even before the Judah fight. You can't tell someone to "man up" and fight because there heart isn't in boxing anymore... give the guy some credit mate come on. By the way you mentioned Hatton... he has already beaten Hatton.Last edited by Spacey1991; 01-11-2009, 06:15 PM.Comment

I'm not a Floyd fan but once any fighter is no longer hungry enough to put his body through (10-12 weeks of hell) what it takes to fight at the world championship level he should hang 'em up. I've never seen anything but bad stuff happen to fighters who fight just for the pay check.Comment

Shane Mosely? Has publicly turned down fights with Floyd both in 2006 and 2007.
Manny Pacquiao? Until a month ago Manny has been fighting 3 weight divisions lower than Floyd.
Antonio Margarito? Only in 2006 would a fight with Antonio Margarito would of been somewhat logical. Instead of fighting for a paper title at the time, Floyd decided to fight for the lineal Welterweight championship of the world, and not to mention, for more money as well. In 2007 he had a choice between fighting the biggest fight in Pay Per View history, and the third biggest fight, or fight Margarito who had just lost to Williams. The only other time a fight would have been logical was in 2008, except Floyd has retired and rightfully so.
Paul Williams? Prior to his fight with Antonio Margarito in 2007, his best win was, Sharmba Mitchell. Again in 2006, Paul Williams was viewed as nothing more than an untested, talented, awkward prospect who has a lot of potential.
Miguel Cotto? Again, a fight with Miguel Cotto would have been most profitable if it had taken place in 2008, before the Margarito fight, a fight in 2007 made no sense to Floyd for reasons I've already iterated. In 2006, Miguel Cotto was still at Jr. Welterweight fighting the likes of Ricardo Torres and Paulie Malignaggi.Comment
