Cotto tried to pls the crowd and took too many chances, broken nose was the end of the fight, he survived thou and fought until the 11th, other proven champions who had their nose broken like that have given up way sooner than that. Margarito is a great fighter, but he has more flaws than Cotto, if Cotto can somehow keep turning him and not let Margarito get combinations off, he can win it UD, problem is he's not gonna pls the crowd by doing that but that's the only shot he has at beating Margarito so I expect a smarter Cotto on their rematch. We also have to see how Cotto comes back against Jennings, I wanna see him get hit with a hard shot and see how he reacts, same with Margarito, he took too many bombs from Cotto, when your deffense is a hard chin you gotta wonder if Mosley can finish what Cotto started, we'll see.

Cotto fought pretty well. Why do you guys think Cotto was going to the ropes and slowing down later?
Margarito was nailing him to the body from round 2. Cotto was slowed down sufficiently in the 6 when he caught some huge shots that changed the fight.
Then it was in Tony's court.
Margs body work early was the difference. It set up the tko later.

Cotto already admitted he couldn’t go to the body so that argument is closed. Believe it or not, but Marg doesn’t have that bad of a defense.

i think most of the round were tough to score cotto was landing almost everything that was throwing and margarito was throwing a lot but not landing
