I dont look at him as an idiot, but most boxing writers thought he move was not a smart one, when he could have made more somewhere else and kept his title.

He took a risk, something most fighters today wont do.

As it stands right now Paul Williams can beat any welterweight that has a title right now more than likely, so why settle for such a figure, also why offer 1.5 then lower it to 1.1 unless you know you dont want the other party to take the fight, that was the intention all along. Same reason they didnt fight Winky, thats a loss too.
Considering that he draws nothing and 1.5 million would still be his biggest payday ever yes he should. And what the **** does a WBO title do for you these days. The biggest laugher is that he fought Verno phillips instead for nothing and he won an Interm title at junior Middle Wooo Hoooo he showed them up.

Pavlik isn't much bigger in fame then Williams and Williams is a nobody in boxing terms to your casual boxing fan.

So i guess Margarito got cheated when he accepted 1.2 mil to fight Williams? Or when he got cheated and got paid 1.5 to fight Cotto?

You act like Pavlik brings in a **** load of money when in truth he doesn't. His 2nd fight with Jermain Taylor only sold 200k ppv. Thats a huge let down.

So again, get on your 24s and roll your ass out of hear, get some knowledge to your game.

PoppaPump posted the thread you need to see and youre still quesitoning things, youre silly. Typical proof that when faced with facts certain people still will resort to idiocy.

Then answer why Arum dropped the price if he didnt want to fight the Punisher, they didnt want that fight.

And then? I'm still waiting for a point and it's not like he was the first fighter to do this. Normally Margarito is a very reserved and humbel fighter but I think his emotions got the best of him so what?

because Arum is a Douche bag ******* just like every other promoter in the world. Do you really think Pavlik has anything to do with negotiating the other fighters purse?

If I was gonna give a fighter his biggest pay day ever and the ***head said he wants more money I too would lower the price just to tell the guy to go **** himself.

Why do you keep bringing up biggest purse to date, that doesnt matter. Its about the fight, so if Williams is offered 1.5 from De La Hoya he should take it because it would be his biggest purse to date? Laughable.

Pavlik's biggest payday was 3 million for the Hopkins fight. If they would have given Williams his 1.8, Pavlik would have made 3.8, the biggest payday of his career and it would have been on regular HBO. Rick wrote about it last year.

Please don't ban me. But the article says, Williams wanted 2.5 mil!!!! And it also says, Goosend said, Pavlik had physical advantages over Williams, lol at that one.

1.5 mil, was more then fair for Williams when he had really not done much but lose to Quintanna then beat Quintanna after beating Margarito.

Again, I firmly belive that Williams people are over pricing them selfs and really are not realistic with there demands.

In turn, the phillips win was a good win. But, now he's going up in weight for a money fight instead of making a name for himself. He just out for the money and that's not a bad thing, i just don't like the false hype and accolades he gets. The Phillips fight was a good start, but i think he will lose to Pavlik and can he recover we'll see.
