If HBO decided to cancel Boxing..What would happen to all the boxers??

    Maybe the networks would pick up the title fights because they'd be very cheap to get. Now HBO is paying so much to get the good fights, and Dawson-Tarver II, that it's not worth it for the big networks to outbid them.

      Yeah, that is true. I often feel showtime and shobox are geared toward the true fan much more than HBO.
      HBO has the dramatics and the drama queen Lampley, but Showtime has delivered us some great fights without frills and some very good match ups with both rising prospects and champs. Last year wasn't their best year however.

      I wouldn't mind if HBO went away from boxing. Someone would pick up the slack and perhaps do it better.

        HIGHLY UNLIKELY HBO would cancel Boxing.. I know I would cancel HBO if Boxing was dropped and I know a few people would do the same. HBO would lose a lot of subscriptions if Boxing was dropped. Even if they did it, it would hurt the sport but someone else would pick it up!
