    Boxing wouldn't end.

Don't people know the history of boxing?

Boxing used to happen in secret avenues and there were times that a boxing match/venue got raided and participents went to jail. People would come from all over US to see a boxing match that only a selected people knew were it was going to be held for fear of a cop raiding the boxing event for illigal pugilisum a.k.a boxing.

^ how does that relate to now? Boxing clearly isn't as popular as it was back in the day.

and I doubt it'll ever get to the point where HBO would cancel it.

possible .. but not such a stretch that it would never happen.

easy move to Showtime or even better go to ESPN and have more exposure since ESPN is basic cable and more people can afford to watch them. There there are going to be some ESPN PPV events.

        No biggy

          People love boxing.

People go to live boxing matchs all the time that are not well promoted and are not televised.

Boxing has been a sport that the American has always loved and will continue to love.

You look at the history to know the future.

15 years ago you never thought there would be a White Heavyweight Champion again. But History tells us differntly.

          Know your history.

first of all not every of those PPV's costs that much .. some cost $55.

and second of all never underestimate human ******ity. so yeah I'd believe you, people are dumb.

**if I told you a person drowned because they purposely put there butt on the bottom of a jacuzzi and could not get up, thus drowning ... would you believe me?

yeah yeah history history. boxing was very popular back in the 1980s and even had big time fights on ABC

it's not as popular now, is all im saying. of course people go to the fights, and buy them.

every Vegas fight still sells out.

boxing would not end if no USA cable network picked it up, but boxing in the US would effectively end imho.

also without hbo there would be less big fights without hbo's money. every boxer would fight out of their backyard against opponents that they know they would beat... in other words every boxer would turn into joe calzaghe.

so what ... people buy Authentic NBA shorts for $125 .. that's shorts for $125

and athletic shoes for $200 .. hell $300

it's a price, people buy it (weather it's shorts, shoes or a fight). so what. Hell Golden Boy could make the pay per view $70 and people would still buy it.

**I have to ask how long before $60 is the standard for pay per view pricing.

because boxing PPV's didn't cost ^ back in it's surge of popularity.

and tracing your history of boxing how are $65 PPV's a good thing?
