dude learn how to f.ucking read. i'm not giving him **** for taking this fight, AGAIN, i feel this is a great fight. i'm disagreeing that a Diaz win would make him a "legend"

Not right now. But he still has a chance. If he cleans out the lightweight division, especially at his age, that'd go a long way to reaching that "legendary" status.

A win over Diaz, Campbell, and/or Guzman would make his greatness hard to ignore. That's no easy feat, but possible. A win over Pacquiao in a rubbermatch would be good too, but who knows how likely a third fight with Pac is.

Do you know how many great fighters Mexico have? 6 or 7 is ridiculous.

All those legends Trumps on Marquez's resume and I'm not even including the Mexican-Americans like Palomino and DelaHoya.

Actually, Carlos was born in Mexico.

                Great list though!

Your missing my point. Him beating Diaz doesn't make him a Legend. Manny was the toughest fight out when they fought the rematch. When he moved up to 135, Casamayor was the linear champ so thats who he fought(not David Diaz). Now Juan Diaz is the toughest fight for him, so thats who he is fighting. I agree Diaz himself doesnt make him a legend, but he is taking on nothing but the toughest fights availiable at that time and hasn't been beat convincingly. If that doesn't make a legend then I don't know what does. It's alot more then you can say about alot of other "ATG's"

I was the one who said he's not a legend. I'm open to suggestions though, somebody want to prove it to me. What's his best win? Grandfather Casamayor? A burnt out Barrera? Gainer? Juarez? Let's be real here. People rate Marquez so high because he's given Pacman a few good fights, and lost both IMO. If he beats Diaz and someone like Hatton or Pacquiao, I'll reconsider. Don't dislike Marquez at all, I just think he's a bit overrated.

Manny Pacquiao and Chris John are his best wins
