That's because he is. If Marquez wins, my All Time Pound 4 Pound list will look like this:

    1. Joe Calzaghe
    2. Mike Tyson
    3. Antonio Tarver
    4. JMM
    5. James Toney
    6. Ali
    7. Sven Ottke
    8. Leon Spinks
    9. Duran
    10. Tommy Morrison

      not yet.

JMM hasn't done much significant things to be considered a legend. He has controversial loss with Chris John which he doesnt seem to be eager to avenge. His most notable win was with Casamayor and will always be remebered in the shadow of Pac.

i disagree.... a good win is Pacquiao's win over David Diaz

this is a level above that, although obviously J Diaz is not a GREAT

I think JMM will be a legend in the same respects as Barrera and Morales. I believe Diaz is a tough, young, hungry fighter. If JMM fights old fighters he catches crap for fighting old fighters, now that he's taking on a young lion, he's catching crap because Diaz hasn't done enough to push him into Legendary status. I understand why some fighters take the easy money fights and dont worry about pleasing the fans. Dawson has proved alot less then Diaz, but still some people feel Calzaghe has to beat him in order to achieve ATG status.

He's Great but not yet a legend like Morales or Barrera. He doesn't even make top 20 Mexico's best.

i'm not saying that is his career defining fight for the record, i'm saying it might be the final push he needs to be considered in that "legendary" category
