but those people could be looked at as lacking in knowledge and hardly in any position to be dictating greatness

that's like saying "take away Ruiz and Toney from Jones's resume and what are you left with"

he did what he did, and they are accomplishments that benefit his legacy

Chris John was 100% a Marquez win, and i thought he should have been given the nod over Pacman the second time in a close-fought but clear decision... but i don't want to get into an argument about the Pacman decisions as it's the same thing every time and no one changes their opinions

i agree, but it's still not enough to lose controversial fights. think about if they gave those decisions to marquez instead of pacman. I think people would have a harder time swallowing that. Plus if you want to talk coulda, woulda, shoulda, then Pacman shoulda won the first fight because the judge messed up the scorecard.

sorry didn't see that you were a Calzaghe fan. god i can't wait for him to retire and become forgotten.

no it's not like taking away Ruiz and Toney from Roy, those were decisive victories.

            I respect your opinion.

but stop looking at it as win/loss for a second and think of them as accomplishments

obviously the Roy wins are bigger achievements due to the nature but it's the same thing with Marquez' performances against John and Pacman being disregarded, on a smaller scale

I don't disregard them at all, I'm just saying that if he's such a legend, he shouldn't consider two losses and a draw as his greatest accomplishments.

those arent 'woulda' 'shoulda' 'coulda' fights for roy...those are legit, indisputable wins...

and even if you did take those away, he still has hopkins, tarver, griffin, hill on the resume..along with a run of pure dominance...ie points B,C,and D to backup his legend claims
