Why Margarito is bad for Mayweather!

I don't get this post. Floyd shouldn't fight him because he has a 2 to 1 chance of winning? Floyd shouldn't fight him because he is to big? Or.....Floyd shouldn't fight him because he has skills and Margs is a chump?

Floyd shouldn't fight him because the only way Marg could win is by brute force. This is boxing, not a toughman competition. The sick freaks like Larry Merchant would love to see Floyd lose...but Larry Merchant is a piece of crap who deserves to die. Everyone is aware of Floyd's skills. We all know what a badass he is. He should just ride off into the sunset like the stud he is, and not give any oversized welterweights the chance to make a name for themselves off of the undersized legend Mayweather..

but floyd is a tiny and fragile welter. Marg and Cotto fans who want Floyd to fight them are just deperate for their fighters to beat a legend. Floyd is too small. He belongs at lightweight. Let Cotto fight Marg and Marg fight Williams like they're supposed to. They will both lose. Haha. Dopes they can't even dominate their own natural weight classes haha losers.

Margarito has a good chin but I'm not convinced it's better than Baldomir's. If Floyd ever fought him, I wouldn't be surprised if he became the first person to knock Margarito out. Cotto's punches might look harder, but Floyd hits with so much more sharpness and accuracy and it's the punches you don't see that do the most damage. But Floyd probably wouldn't go for the KO because it would be so easy just to toy with Margarito instead like he's done with so many other fighters, so I would predict easy UD (11-1 or maybe a shutout).

it is just not an attractive win for Mayweather. He would be backpeddling for the majority of the fight not even trying to hurt Margo. It would actually hurt his marketability.

If they both fought... I think Mayweather would just win on points, it wouldn't be his most attractive performance... he would just keep the fight in the center of the ring were Floyd would be dominant, obviously Mayweather wouldn't KO Marg, no Welter can... but I think he would just outbox him all the way through the fight. JMO, yours may be different.

Actually, if Floyd were to win, it would probably be one of his best showings. He's never faced anyone as big or as strong as Tony, nor has he faced anyone who throws as many punches. He really would have to put on a display of every single talent he has to beat Margarito. Hes not going to hurt Tony at all, so Tony would just disregard any shot from Floyd and bully him into the ropes and corners. That is going to take a tremendous and memorable effort from Floyd to beat the Tornado.

Which is why he won't ever face Margarito.
