Margarito is bad for Mayweather because he makes Floyd look like a friggin ***g, scared the **** out of Floyd when Margarito confronted him and challenged him in his face, Floyd retiring rather than face his Margo who was his mandatory, Margarito took a lot out of Mayweather's reputation without even meeting him in the ring.

If they both fought... I think Mayweather would just win on points, it wouldn't be his most attractive performance... he would just keep the fight in the center of the ring were Floyd would be dominant, obviously Mayweather wouldn't KO Marg, no Welter can... but I think he would just outbox him all the way through the fight. Floyd is a great defensive fighter,no doubt.But that potshot right hand and shoulder role,probably isnt going to cut it against Margarito.He has a 100+plus punch output.He also punches from all angles,anticipating that many punches,seems impossible.Cotto,couldnt hold Margarito off,33 punches a round from featherfisted Mayweather wont do it.Margarito would walk him down and stop him late!!

I completely understand the logic of Floyd outboxing Margarito.But how does Floyd keep this fight in the center of the ring,throwing 30+punches a round?If u compare Cottos performance,Cotto was throwing more and landing powerful blows and still couldnt push Margarito back!!I just dont see a smaller WW beating Margarito without outworking him,he has the chin,angles and punch output to beat any small WW.
