However Mayweather aint it. Although Mayweather is great and has a solid resume and is in the Top 30 ATG without arguement imo. Anywhere you wanna put him in the 30 is fine with me.
I dont believe there ever will be or has been a fighter capable of doing that, not one who has done it consistently against the elite level competition anyway.

Its impossible imo. There can only be a certain amount of difference between one fighter to another, because we are all human being at the end of the day.

Oh snaps! I just realized who your avatar is... Davey Boy Smith's (RIP) tag team partner that had his career ended by a car wreck, right?

Anyway, Sugar Ray Robinson was pretty much that. After Lamotta beat him the first time, he went on a 95-0 run where he beat Lamotta multiple times. That's as close to unstoppable as you can be.

i know this is probably a bait thread but ali is better simply because his resume is better and he will be remembered forever- both for his incredible charisma and memorable fights with frazier, foreman ,liston etc

skill and talent wise they are quite close, both have great fighting brains, reflexes, defence, speed, footwork etc

Bro...WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH YOU

              Incredible charisma?

"A black man should be killed if he's messing with a white woman." When the interviewer asked about black women crossing the colour barrier, Ali responded: "Then she dies. Kill her, too."

Do you know how racist this guy WAS? Mayweather gets more **** from people than Ali which IMO is just wrong...

Hmm... If Mayweather beats Cotto-Margarito winner, Pacquiao, and Williams I MIGHT put him top 3 or 4.

OK, wipe Floyd's jizz off of you lips. Sure Ali said a lot of controversial things, but you are now saying he didn't have charisma? He defines charisma.

He fought pretty much everybody and beat pretty much everybody, if it weren't for those last 2 fights, he would have beaten every man he's stepped into the ring with, I think he had something like 25 heavyweight title fights over 30 if you include the NABF, which was more highly regarded back then than it is now. Speed, power (even though he wasn't the biggest puncher, most accounts have him as being a bigger puncher than people give him credit for, he just didn't just down on a lot of his shots), chin, heart etc. Great fighter and he proved it against great opposition while beating a lot of them when he was arguably past his prime, something Mayweather has not done as of yet.
