He still ****ed up by not making weight, same with castillo (and plenty others). And with Guzman/Campbell, they both agreed to fight after guzman didn't make weight but Guzman messed himself up too badly by dehydrating himself severely, was throwing up blood and was not medically cleared to fight.

He did f--k up by not making weight, but he f--ked up even worse when he didn't fight on. He could have told the promoters and the network before hand that he had problem with weight, had the contracts amended and the fight would have went on.

Instead, he left everyone with their ****s in their hands.

To be honest Guzman should not even be used in the same sentence with Pac.

It already has many times especially considering Arum and Pacquiao wanted Guzman as an opponent last year. If it wasn't for Guzman's blunder against Campbell, he would would have every right to make a case that he deserves a fight with Pacquiao. But he f'ed up so it's his bad.

Pac has fought wars and has beaten HOF fighters. Guzman .....well ..Guzman.....has done nothing...

Only hardcore pacquiao haters would say such a thing. Listen, that's just the way it is with some boxing fans. If they don't like a fighter, they'll never give him props. This is especially true with extreme nuthuggers. Like Marquez fanatics will always bash pacquiao no matter what, and vice versa.

But I think level headed fans know that Guzman vs Pacman is very intriguing match up. I think it's pretty absurd to say Pacman would pummel Guzman, as Guzman has never received a beating in his career and has a very solid chin, plus his defensive and elusive style would create problems for anyone including Pacman. It's also tough to say because Pacman has never really faced a slick elusive fighter before, or if he did it was a very long time ago. Pacman, for the most part, has fought typical come forward Mexican style opponents.

I'm a huge Pacman fan, and a big fan of guzman, which is why I want this fight to happen.

Let's see, what does Guzman bring to the table that elite super feathers, lightweights and junior welters doesn't...NOTHING. He doesn't sell, his fighting style stinks, he hasn't beaten anybody of note, dude doesn't even have an alphabet. What does Pacquiao gain by fighting this clown? Fights against Hatton and Floyd are sure money-makers, JMM is #2 P4P, Campbell has three straps, Bradley will soon have the same number, Juan Diaz can put-up another "Mexican" stand, Casamayor has beaten names, Katsidis and Valero are exciting fighters while Guzman is a clown who doesn't even have the discipline to make weight.

Look Hector Camacho Sr. had like 80 fights and was never knocked out...was his chin great ? who knows...he ran too much to know... and this is a guy who fought some heavy hitters. All this rhetoric and you forget this is not politics , not modeling, not philosophy this is a sport where two men fight....to prove oneself you must beat other fighters(period) Im from America as an American fight fan I believe the fighter must win in my country ..Im sure he has the respect of alot of fans in DR...but like I said you can fool some people some times. WTF, I don't think you understand the discussion this thread at all. I, and others, have already stated that this fight will most likely never happen, even mentioned some of things you just stated (i.e pacman is a superstar, guzman is not, guzmans recent **** up, etc.). You're wasting your time (and mine at this point).

I'm a fan of pacquiao. Next to bernard hopkins, he's my favorite fighter. I'm simply saying it would have (past tense) been intriguing and a great match up stylistically.

Is Soto or Barrios heavy hitters? Have you seen Guzman get nailed by hard shots directly to the face without budging by them?

It's pretty easy to tell if someone has a good chin or not. If a fighter can take a shot without moving, or getting wobbled or hurt, they have a good chin. If a fighter is constantly getting wobbled and hurt by average shots like amir khan, they do not. Simple. I don't know why I would even have to debate this with you. I've seen dozens of fights where guzman has taken his opponents best shots and they didn't phase him. That clearly means he has a good chin. Has he ever faced a guy with Pacquiao's power? Nope, not many fighters have. Could he take them? Who knows, it's impossible to speculate. I simply said Guzman has a good chin, that's pretty undeniable at this point of his career.
