People like Harry Greb are just like Joe DiMaggio or Ted Williams: frauds. DiMaggio and Williams got to look great only cuz of segregation. Yet "famous writers" still call those guys ATGs. How can you call someone great if they didn't even let half the country compete against them? Same thing in boxing. Even though black boxers weren't banned like in baseball, there werent a lot of them because of all the obstacles they had. No one like that belongs anywhere near an ATG list.

After all, if you have every single fighter in your top twenty ATG's as black then you're simply deluded and racist. No, that's simply not true. If it was I would be the first to agree but Greb fought absolutely everyone from his era and beat everyone. You know he only fought with one eye as well? He was blind in one eye. Amazing.

Honestly, he is the one guy that you could actually say rivals Ray Robinson in every single area. His resume is just as good, he beat just as many brilliant fighters over a long period of time and spanned middleweight to heavyweight beating everyone. 8 losses in 300 fights.

Edit: Well, that last stat is kind of misleading as he was fighting in the No Dec era. He officially won something like 200 and lost 8, with the rest being No Dec's.

The ring rated Duran the number one lightweight and they have been covering boxing since the 30's. How many articles and fights have you covered brandish? I only mention the ring magazine because even their youngest and least experienced writers have a greater reputation in the sport of boxing than you will ever have in your entire miserable life.

once again writing about sports is not a rep play. the fighters fight the writers write about their fights. there is no special prerequisite. I don't hold anyone's opinion above mine when iot comes to boxing especially when the majority of the writers are biased and racist as well.
