When boxing actually aired great fights on national television during the 80's. On weekends, watching Hector Camacho knock guys out with one hand is what did it for me.

My father used to fight ametuer as a kid in high school and for a little while thereafter. My father, brother, and I used to spar in the backyard and watch Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, and Mosely fights together.

I met Holyfield in Florida when I was a kid, we saw him in a restaurant and followed him out. This was in the mid-nineties; we got his autograph and pictures. I've loved boxing since I was a kid, one day I'll get some ametuer fights under me, probably not professional though lol

I started boxing when I was a kid after I had gotten the **** beaten out of me by this hispanic kid walking home from school. I went to a boxing gym and watched some old tapes. Then I realized I wasn't a very good boxer and retaliating against this kid would probably end up bad for me. But watching boxing stuck with me.
