Hatton's demolition of Paulie Malignaggi was a performance to put him back in the spotlight and prove he isn't finished.

Performance of the year for me.

Vitali has NEVER beaten a live opponent. Why should he get credit? What has he accomplished?

I don't believe Vitali can win performance of the year. Maybe in a year with a few less solid battles, sure. What adds to Klitschko's laurels is the fact that he more or less dominated Samuel Peter, a solid heavyweight, when there were questions about the length of his lay-off impacting him permanently. I think this is the type of victory that is going to be diminished or enhanced quite a bit based on Peter's next fight. If he picks up a solid win- Vitali looks quite a bit better in the build up to his Haye fight. If Peter was to get smoked, or look poor against a lesser opponent, that takes a huge amount of steam off of Klitschko's win.

It was a good performance, but I don't think it's anywhere near performance of the year.

Hatton was the favourite to win, Paulie didn't have a punchers chance, and looked aweful in recent performaces. Hatton looked good no doubt, but I would say it's a far way off VK-Peter, Pac-DLH and Hopkins-Pavlik.

Hatton wasn't backed that heavily in that fight, a lot of people thought he was finished.

                He battered him.

Am pretty sure Pavlik wasn't favorite against Hopkins, but that doesn't take anything away from Hopkins's win.

For me the performance of the year was, and I hate to say it, the beatdown that Darchinyan put on Mijares. Who the hell saw that coming, only the armenian fans thought he even had a shot, and you have to take those predictions for what they are, more like favoritism.

Hopkins opened as a 3-1 underdog, I think. I am 100% sure that he was an underdog though.

                      Yes, that surprised almost everyone.
