Performance of the Year 2008: Vitali's Return

I think the best performance of 2008 was Vitali Klitschko's return against Sam Peter for the WBC title.

He hadn't fought in nearly four years, longer than Ali's layoff in the late 60s. And Vitali was 37 not a young 29 when he returned. He fought the WBC titleholder, a man 8 years younger, without first taking a warmup, and won every minute of every round!

I can hardly wait to see Vitali KO the loud-mouthed David Haye!

I doubt you will find many people who agree with this thread other than Steelhamer and Wladowns.

B-hop over Pavlik or Pacman over DLH was the best IMO.. 2008 was the year for the underdog 4sure

I could beat Sam Peter. Vitali proved nothing.

Although vitali owned peter and was impressive doing so, I would probably choose Bhop over Pavlik
