no in all honesty i'm 100% serious. I know there are super die hard brit fans that are world renowned for being ultra supportive but seriously so many brit fans on this forum constantly berate vilify and deride everyone from hatton to khan to harrison to whomever is british etc..

I've noticed they only hate their own fighters who have lost recently, had an embarassing loss, or have had a bad performance. In order for them to love their own fighters, they have to have an 0 on their record.

I know they wont be rooting for Jennings to beat Cotto. Or at least i dont think they will be.

The british fans seem to be pretty universal when it comes to boxing. They like who they like no matter their ethnicity

Hatton and Calzaghe are Gods to most British fight fans. I know a lot of British people don't like Amir Khan, but we can take or leave him. We know he is overrated and he isn't going to do much so we let him be.

The only British fighter I actively don't like is Audley Harrison.

Anyway, why do people from certain countries have to like fighters just because of where they are from? Shouldn't it be more about their styles in the ring, their personalities outside of it, etc?

exactly, Manny Pacquioa is way overrated and Joe Calzaghe is P4P number 1.

The Brit that hates British fighters most is Dynamite Kid (aka Terrible...).

But he's some kind of mentally ill, self-hating white guy who hates ALL white boxers whether they are British or not. He doesn't hate black British fighters like Haye and Eubank, just the white ones.

There are a few others who are similar, such as DavrosPromulas (formerly Duffgun). But most British boxing fans support their fighters regardless of race.

the only one i know that brits really hate is amir khan....but i can understand that one.

but honestly i haven't seen a brit hate on their fighters. at least on these fourms
