Boxing and most other combat sports require and extreme amount of anaerobic endurance. Sports like soccer and marathons/triathlons are more aerobic so it's hard to compare the two. Combat sports are a whole different thing though, I'm pretty sure nobody was trying to punch Michael Phelps in the face in Beijing.

boxers are the fittest, toughest and best athletes in the world

NFL players are lazy ****s who run for four seconds then stop

Basketballers are tremendous athletes, fit and fast but they dont have to terribly tough or courageous

swimmers are great too, but they dont need to be tough

same with runners etc....see those guys have to be just as fit as boxers....but do they have to get punched in the face???

i wouldn't generalize, a lot of boxers are out of shape too (bums)

top boxers thou are as fit as you can get, but any dedicated athlete can achieve the same

All im going to say is Marvin haler when he fought Sugar ray Leonard was the fittest human on the planet. His physical strength, speed and endurance was unreal. Its amazing how anyone can be in such amazing shape it truly is. And this isn't just my view Emmanuel steward, ray Arcel and Gil Clancy.

Of course, an ELITE level fighter like, Ray robinson, Hagler, Armstrong, Mayweather etc etc are the fittest humans to walk the earth its simple.

The Wall Street Journal published an article about the best athletes and Floyd was 3rd, after Roman Sebrle (decathlete) and Lebron.

I saw that a while back. You gotta respect the top athletes. Even darts players must have good mental fitness/strength lol.

Boxers are the fittest by far. You have to be at your ultimate weight and the perfect mix between power and speed and be able to still have the reflexes.
