Valuev was trying not to hurt Holyfield

Maybe Valuev was paid to lose and was trying hard to lose. Even then those darned judges pulled off a robbery.Comment

I've seen that theory, but I don't buy it. Holyfield was there for the taking, but Valuev wasn't even trying. He wasn't even throwing a jab, just sort of lazily sticking out his arm occasionally.Comment

He was deliberately not fighting. He's no Klitschko, but he's no helpless schmuck either. Look at his previous fights on Youtube and compare it with what he was doing the other night. He wasn't even making a show of trying - and Holyfield looked about as non-threatening as heavy bag. And yet, at the end, Valuev seemed to be anticipating the win. Something very funny about that so-called fight. And now they want a freakin' rematch? Lord hab mercy!
Musta missed the Chagaev and Ruiz fights then?Comment
