He wasn't even making a show of trying - and Holyfield looked about as non-threatening as heavy bag. And yet, at the end, Valuev seemed to be anticipating the win. Something very funny about that so-called fight. And now they want a freakin' rematch? Lord hab mercy!
Or he knew he was so frikken slow that he was hoping one of his slow ass punches would catch a tired old man so he threw very little in that fight.

What is he all of the sudden, the neanderthal man version of Mother Theresa?

I see like this, All off Valuev's work comes off the Jab but Holyfields laterial movement meant that Valuev could never set up any off his punches with the jab first. Thats why he looked so bad.

What gets me is the way they are going on about a phony decision in Europe, like they never noticed that every other big time fight decision in the USA for the past 50 years was crooked as the day is long.

Reminds me of the chief of police in "Casablanca" who says, "I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, shocked!"

He must have fought other people who moved from side to side with some alacrity before. He has had 51 pro fights, and he's won all but one.

Holyfield looked like he presented no threat, and he outweighed him by 100 pounds. Why didn't he just close in on him and pummel him instead of standing at a respectful distance and doing almost nothing?

well that shows how bad some off Valuev's opponents have been, Chageav was the only other person i remember giving some fairly good movement and he beat him.
