Im from Delaware and my brother knows the Tiberi Family Personally. I never saw the fight myself, but ALOT of ppl tell me that Tiberi whooped James's ass. They say James only won the first round

No, that's not one of the ones I was referring to - it was indeed an ugly fight.

But he clearly lost the Oquendo fight, though not as widely as he lost to Tiberi.

This is the first i heard of this. Anyone have the fight?

And Toney clearly lost the Oquendo fight. He should not get in the ring with the Klitchkos.

2 fights Toney couldn't get a decision win over is his two fights with Montell Griffen.

I've seen the fight and it was bad. Toney has had his share of gifts in his career. It isn't because of his status in the US though, or at least I can't imagine it being so. He's never been a big draw or overwhelmingly popular. The mainstream has never known him.

agreed. I think I had Toney winning by a point thanks to the point deduction, but 6 rounds a piece. Tiberi didn't dominate him. Not even close.

Tiberi didn't dominate him? You must have watched a different fight.

Tiberi won nearly every round from the 2nd round on.

the people that scored that fight for Tiberi must have scored Castillo-Mayweather I for Castillo

you're not supposed to count punches that land on the arms, back and kidneys

head shots and body shots, that's it

just so you guys know how to score future fights

your forgetting that toney got ripped off twice vs montell griffin

the thing is though toneys defence is very good and sometimes when he is on the ropes covering he isnt actually getting hit with scoring shots but on the arms and with grazing shots, so it sometimes seems like he is getting the worst of it when he is actually not getting hit at all and tagging his opponent with counters

the tiberi decision wasnt all that bad, he wasnt landing cleanly only on the arms and that

exactly. that's why Toney's been ripped off a bunch of times and maybe got away with a win or two he shouldn't have. but generally he catches punches on the arms and lands good counters. the Tiberi fight wasn't any different than most of his fights. you just had inexperienced commentators sitting there telling you it was one-sided and a robbery when in fact it wasn't.
