But Guzman is really one of those special fighters and I don't see anyone at 135 beatin him. His speed/ defense is the best at 135...his chin is Soto/ Barrios approved...as we've seen. He'll actaully take a hit on the chin on purpose. The only fighter I've been that impressed with at 130-135 was Mayweather

During the Nate/ Guzman weigh in Guzman was 3 pounds over weight. At first I said "No big deal, I seen alot of fighters lose that quickly so he'll fight" but as I saw he made no attempt to make weight...I knew something was wrong with him.

I just hope he fights more often and earns everyone's respect.
I respect Guzman vs Barrios, at least he was fighting. Against Soto, he lost it. He was showboating too much. Trying to be like PBF but at least Pretty Boy is counter punching and was doing defense. With Joan, he was more interested in in being a performer instead of a fighter.

If Guzman dosen't let the whole weight thing and Nate Campbell get to him and if he can put it behing him he can only come back a stronger more motivated fighter to prove the douters wrong.

Then he puts a highlight real with a bunch of no name losers in DR.
Go to Boxrec. 95% of his Knockouts were in DR. Now if they were in Mexico or PR or even the Philippines. I would have gave him a little credit. But to really prove yourself you have to fight in America and not once or twice a yr. By the time this guy gets a chance to prove himself ...his nuthuggers will say after the loss...he was past his prime...lol ...Even before the Nate incident he should have already fought a few names...cmon.
Stop the hate, hes one of the most talented boxers out there.

Guzman is better when you jump on him...Soto was only able to do that for the first half of the fight...then Soto looked like he didn't believe he could win...As if he threw the fight and then it became an O.K fight from there. Barrios on the other hand jumped on Guzman and never stopped believing he could win and GOD! you gotta respect him for that he put up a really good fight. Saturday Guzman looked OK...The guy was rusty

I only hope he fights more often

Comparing apples to oranges, Castillo, Corrales, Mosely....All warriors who have proved themselves...then you have the nerve to compare this guzman to them..are you joking....ONE PLACE WHERE SOMEONE MUST PROVE THEMSELVES IS FIGHTING OR BOXING. Guzman hasnt done this..Like the last poster said Guzman gave the fans a big FU and the nuthuggers are bending over and saying its ok. Also im tired of hearing he couldnt find no one else to fight him..AGAIN IN BOXING THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE OUT THERE WILLING TO PROVE THEMSELF, he chose a bum because thats his M.O...past shows future.

Whatever. I'm not going to further debate you when it's clearly obvious you hate the man.

Stop being a bitter whiner dondi..Sound to me like u dont like el dominicanos..

Guzman has the talent to be in the p4p lists, but he has badd management..
I mean, he barely get any good fights. Hes not known well and is a HIGH risk low reward..

Fighting in DR and ****.. He gotta broaden his audience..
Im white, I noticed that he only thanks his DOMINICAN fans all the time..

He needs to expand and get his name out there, the dominicans can only take him so far you know?

Guzman is a great fighter, he just ****ED up BIGTIME..
Who knows if hell be back.. A nate victory woulda put his name on the map, but who knows now..

Lightweight is stacked, so he should start fighting these big names and MAKE weight!

Yeah ..alot of people deal with reality that way...real is real..no matter what you cover it with.
Many of these guys base their opinions on what Guzman possibly can do...
I base my opinion on facts, what was done.
                  Heres real:
He could have fought someone with respect, no need for a name because they probably wont give him a chance, but a fighter with a better record or even unbeaten up and comer.
He could have fought in a place where he would have gained more recognition, which is anywhere in America,Mexico, or Puerto Rico.
As for his weight issues and SAFETY. Safety or not it was all on him, were talking about watching what you eat as a professional , not so hard.
This is your job. Do your job like everyone else in the world that works for a living.

High Risk for a Loss and Tarnishing of a fighters reputation..
Low reward, because he doesnt bring money to the table..
